“Wonderful teachers! The school director is passionate, friendly, and talented. Highly recommend!”
Atlanta Music Education is dedicated to providing people in the greater Atlanta area and beyond with a well rounded education in music, in every instrument and genre of music. We believe that music education not only lets people learn an instrument, but enables independent thinking, instills a work ethic, and inspires a lifelong love of music that follows our families everywhere they go.
Check out all the people and places that we work with in our community!
Atlanta Music Education supports #Blacklivesmatter and we are committed in action and voice to dismantling systemic racism. Our school will continue to be a place both at home or in studio of acceptance, love and equality.
Our teachers and staff have researched children’s books about equality, Black musicians, and artists to bring into our classes. We have purchased the books from our neighborhood Black female-owned bookstore. We are also reading the National Association of Teachers of Singing tool kit on diversity and inclusion in music education. In addition, we are putting together teacher researched Black composer and artist features to enrich our lessons and social media.
We are listening, we are learning and we are making steps to be a part of the solution and will continue adding actions to our list. We are committed to not just posting an empty promise, but following with more action.
We support our music families, our current & former teachers and staff and our community in this movement to lift Black voices, end systematic racism and protest police brutality.
The Spring Formal Recital is one of the biannual recitals hosted by Atlanta Music Education. In light of the pandemic, the recitals will take place over zoom. The formal recitals are reserved for private lesson students; however, all are welcome to attend and enjoy the music.
